Indication and Administration

1. It’s used for preventing the renal damages due to protein metabolism disorders in chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the effects are better with low-protein diets. 

2. It’s usually applied to those that have glomerular filtration rate (GFR) less than 25ml/min and the standard of low-protein diet is 40g/day or less for adults.
